Thirumalai film tells the story of Thirumalai (Vijay), a mechanic, falls for Sweta (Jyothika) and after persistent wooing, she reciprocates his feelings. Sweta's father (Ashwin) who owns a television station, seeks help from Arasu (Manoj.K.Jayan), a father, to break the romance.
